How would you describe your professional background in a few sentences?
My professional background is diverse. During my career, I have had the opportunity to start a new business, manage a marina, and manage a construction project at the marina. My greatest love was meeting the customers at the marina and developing lasting relationships with them.
-
What lesson from your first job still guides you today?
My first job taught me to take pride in the quality of my work and have a positive mental attitude. I have applied these two principles in every job I have ever had. They have allowed me to have a very successful career.
-
How do you define success in your current position?
Success in my current position means helping others succeed. If I can use my communication skills to help a company or individual reach their goals, that is a success.
-
How do you continue to grow and stay current in your field?
Throughout my life, I have remained teachable. I have never allowed myself to think I knew everything about a subject. I stay current in my field by reading and remaining curious about its topics. I develop relationships with my peers and offer my support to all. If there is a course that will help me improve, I invest in that opportunity to grow.
-
How do you inspire or mentor others on your team?
I inspire others by setting a clear example of the qualities I expect in an employee. I practice those principles to the best of my ability in every situation I encounter. I mentor others by listening to their concerns and taking the appropriate action to meet their needs.

What are you most excited about in the next stage of your career?
I am most excited to see where this stage of my career leads me. I enjoy learning and practicing the new skills required to succeed. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to learn and grow.
