What inspired you to pursue your current career path?
I have been working corporate for so long now, I missed the humanity of it. I started my own company to focus on helping people gain the competences they need to improve their financial situation.
-
Who or what influenced your professional direction most?
When I was 19 I broke my back. I thought I lost everything - working as a carpenter, life was not easy. One of my acquaintances invited me to work as a column writer at a magazine she worked at. This was the beginning of my now 20 years of freelancing.
-
How do you define success in your current position?
Success for me is to remain human and respectful to everyone, even as I level up and meet new kinds of people. It’s also about being able to share with or include less fortunate people, and helping them improve their lives.
-
Which skills have been most valuable to your success?
Communication has been really important. Working with a huge number of freelancers, and also having to work with global clients from different cultures, has been a learning experience I wouldn’t have been able to handle without strong communication skills.
-
What trends are shaping your industry right now?
We are working with AI, so a lot of things are evolving very fast. Our focus is on the development of language and the improvement of the data used in this field. I look forward to seeing and developing with the next trends too.
-
How would you describe your leadership style?
I am a coaching leader, which makes sense since I’m certified within NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). It has also been a superpower in the type of services we provide - a lot of communication, training, and administration.
-
Who or what played a key role in your success story?
My friend Zara. She was the one who helped me change direction when I was struggling. Unfortunately, she is not here anymore, but I would love to pay her a tribute for laying the foundation of my success today.
-
What are you most excited about in the next stage of your career?
I am currently building a platform that will massively improve my company’s capacity. When we launch in a couple of months, it will automate many of our current administrative tasks, allowing us to focus on new areas for growth. This is going to be a learning experience, and I cannot wait.
